Maker Faire UK is the greatest show (and tell) on Earth! It’s a two day family-friendly festival of invention and creativity, bringing together hundreds of hackers, crafters, coders, DIYers and garden shed inventors from across the globe - people who love to make stuff and who want to share their passion with the public. At Maker Faire UK, you can explore and create with the Makers and enjoy playful installations, drop-in workshops, magical Maker music and fascinating speakers. "The Market Place" Bolton for British Science Week!


"Osmosis Machine" Is to tour the UK with support from Arts Council England in order to develop itself  with a focus on making the arts and sciences more accessible. Accompanying the art installations will be colourful and tactile workshops aimed at encouraging young people into science, engineering and the arts.

The Osmosis Machine's first stop is Bolton representing the North West as part of British Science week

The project will a see the commissioning of  a kinetic art installation displayed in the Market Shopping Centre. There will be two days worth of workshops displaying interactive drawing machines and presenting competitive live gloop making on Saturday the 14th and Saturday the 21st March 2015.

Lost Poster

Lost Inventions Fantastic Creations was a light hearted coming together of artists, inventors and engineers via open invitations and workshops aimed at those creative types of people who tinker about in garden sheds or sketch down those "next big thing" ideas.

The festival offered plenty of interactive and educational aspects with hackers" and "Makers Groups" experiments with electronics and robotics, "Osmosis Machines" nuts and bolts Meccano workshops running in association with "Fun Palaces" weekend @ the Baseline Creative Space.

"Glooptower One" was awarded the "Visitors Prize" for the Neo Art Prize 2013
"Osmosis Machine" Arts Meets Science Company was originally developed from the "Gloop Art Installations" that accompanied "Arts Council England" funded "Blackpool Culture Shops 2011" and more recently "The Royal Exchange Theatre" as part of the "Manchester Science Festival 2012". These kinetic installations are just one aspect of the artist Adrian Pritchard's portfolio. Osmosis Machine serves as a collaboration brand between Adrian Pritchard, Selected Artists, Scientists and Institutions.
